Travel Information

In order to travel to Bali from abroad there are a number of travel documents and fees you need to provide.

While these can be handled on arrival at Bali airport, the queues can be very long at times. It is recommended that you use the links below to apply for the various documents and handle any required payments in advance, to speed up your trip through Bali immigration and customs. After getting the documents below you should also be able to skip any queues and use the immigration auto-gates to speed up your journey even further.

Taxis/Getting To The Venue

To those new to Asia it is recommended you use the Grab app to book transport (you can also use it to order food delivery)

There is no Uber in Bali.

You can download the Grab app here.

When leaving the airport it is recommended that you book a grab to your accommodation and follow the directions in the app to Grab lounge. Please note that that there will be a lot of taxi hagglers at Bali airport trying to get your attention and they can be quite aggressive trying to convince you to use their services.

You can find more details about the grab app here.

Local Sim Card

If you do not want to use roaming/eSIM on your mobile phone, you can get a short term, tourist SIM at the airport.

We would suggest a Telkomsel(TSEL) SIM which can be purchased upon arrival at Bali airport.

We recommend avoiding the SIM card kiosks in the baggage hall as better deals can be obtained outside the arrival hall once you have exited customs.
